CV Manuel Flores
Manuel Flores Fahara received a Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction from The University of Texas at Austin. He is certified in Collaborative Learning from The University of British Columbia. He is currently a faculty member at the National School of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences from Tecnologico de Monterrey, where he teaches Foundation of educational research and qualitative research graduate courses. He has served as director of the Master of Education Program (2000-2003) and the Center for Research in Education (2003-2006). His research focuses on professional learning communities of elementary teachers, and teacher’s professional development in the knowledge society.
Manuel is co-author of the textbooks: Teaching Practice: Innovative Approaches to Course Design, The School as Learning Organization (Trillas Press) and Foundations of Educational Research which was published by Tecnologico de Monterrey. His articles, essays and book chapters address topics as elementary teachers and principals in professional learning communities, teachers as researchers and implications of research paradigms
